Mercure Hotel Severinshof Köln City

The Mercure Hotel Severinshof is always my go-to whenever I'm in Cologne. The staff (especially the bar staff!) is always kind, extremely accommodating and just friendly in general. The rooms are always cleaned to an exceptional standard, and so far I've always been lucky that they've gone above and beyond in catering to any special wishes I might have, whether that's a cocktail not on the menu or ensuring I have a room with a bathtub. One of those places where I really don't mind higher prices to comparable alternatives, because I know I get what I'm paying for.

The site had a luxurious feel for a fairly good price. We were provided with a free room upgrade so that definitely affects my feelings but I think I would have been happy with the original room as well. The on site bar, restaurant have predictably high prices but a nice atmosphere and the gym and sauna is a great inclusion. Good for a long stay!

Really good hotel, nice rooms and excellent bathroom and shower! They have a cleaning policy that you can choose from have the cleaning or donate and amount for charity ou even take a free beverage instead, i like that but we really don't need cleaning every sing day of the stay, so really nice. The bar/restaurant have a really small menu, but it was good. One thing is service because when full they were just two people to serve several tables. Staff was ok but not kind or charismatic. Location was ok but you need transport or a long walk to city center. Despite that it's close to a station and easy to get transport.

Simple, but very nice and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, nice staff.

The hotel has an excellent location, very central with a wide range of public transport on the doorstep. Rooms are clean and functional.
